by Mildred Holley, Technology Programs Manager

Arkansas entrepreneurs, researchers and others interested in federally-funded small business research opportunities have the chance soon to meet representatives from many of the federal agencies that fund technical and scientific projects through the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs. The Center for Emerging Technologies, located in St. Louis, will host its 10th Annual Regional SBIR/STTR Conference on January 24-25, 2008. Registration cost is $100 through January 4th, which covers materials, food and supplies.

One-on-one appointments with the agency program managers can be requested. Federal agencies scheduled to participate include the National Institutes of Health, U.S. Army, National Science Foundation, Department of Transportation, Department of Homeland Security, Department of Energy and the National Aeronautics & Space Administration.
