Quest For Next Great Office/School Product
by Mildred Holley, Technology Programs Manager

Staples Inc. has announced its third annual Staples Invention Quest® to encourage creation of new office products. New to the challenge this year is Invention Quest Kids® — open to kids up to 18 — to give them the chance to bring their ideas for easy school or office products to reality.

The deadline to enter is November 27, 2006. The winner will be announced April 2007. Entries can be made by logging onto the website listed below or by visiting a Staples retail store. A judging panel will select the best product entries, and a winner from each category (Staples Invention Quest® and Staples Invention Quest Kids®) will receive $25,000 and royalties if Staples introduces the product under its brand. Eight semi-finalists (4 kids and 4 adults) will receive cash prizes of $5,000 and the possibility of having their idea created and sold by Staples.

For more information about the competition, including entry forms and details about past winners, log on to http://inventionquest.dja.com.
