2006 Fall National SBIR Conference

This fall's National Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Conference will be held in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Dates for the conference are November 6 to 9. This event will offer small businesses and others an opportunity to learn about the more than $2 billion given each year by 11 federal agencies to help entrepreneurs take their ideas from the laboratory to the marketplace.

Conference sessions offer details about the agencies, how businesses can apply for funding, and what it takes to win in these programs.Conference topics will include:
• Federal agency presentations
• Exhibits and one-on-one sessions with agency representatives
• Networking opportunities
• Sources of innovation, including technology transfer
• Strategic partnerships and funding beyond SBIR/STTR
• Intellectual property protection.

More details on the agenda, conference fees, pre- and post-conference workshops and exhibits can be found at www.sbirworld.com/wi. This is the last in the current conference series sponsored by the National Science Foundation. Future conferences will be handled by various states around the country, with federal agency participation.
