Practice Makes Perfect
by Betsey Martin, UALR Lead Center

The Arkansas SBDC recognizes that even doctors, lawyers, and consultants may struggle with the operational side of their business. So, the organization’s Research Center has developed a practice management collection that's devoted to each of these professionals.

And now, there's help for accounting or tax professionals who want to establish their own accounting firm.

The Arkansas SBDC’s Research Center proudly introduces these books which were purchased from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants:

- Bill What You’re Worth
- Solo Practice: An Owner’s Manual for Success
- Seven Principles for Effective Firm Management
- Management of a Practice (2005 selected readings)

Also, help is on the way for financial planners and insurance agents! Look for similar practice management resources coming in January. To view any books in the “professional” series (on site in Little Rock), contact the UALR SBDC's lead center at 501-324-9043.
