Health Insurance for Small Businesses

What is the best way for small business owners to find affordable health coverage? While online there are thousands of “apply here” insurance websites, our recommendation is to contact a benefit specialist for groups and individuals. Find a local agent who specializes in health care and works with several different insurance companies. A reliable agent, who works only with established insurance companies with high ratings, aids to eliminate the worry of insurance scams. Another benefit of their experience is to ask the right questions to determine the insurance needed. This process is able to eliminate unnecessary coverage and costs, thereby customizing a health insurance plan to meet needs.

The Health Insurance Resource Center website has a helpful list of “53 ways to cut your health care costs.” This list includes discounts prescription drug plans, tax breaks and negotiating medical bills. The site may be accessed at:
