Nominations Sought for Small Business Awards
by Laura Fine, Assistant State Director

The Arkansas District Office of the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) is seeking nominations for its annual small business awards to honor the SBA Arkansas Small Business of the Year and small business advocates in various categories. The awards will be presented at the annual Small Business of the Year luncheon June 6, 2005 at the Wyndham Hotel in North Little Rock.

Small Business of the Year winners from each state will be invited to Washington to be honored during national Small Business Week, April 25 - 30, at which time a national winner will be announced.

Lenders, accountants, chambers of commerce, economic development groups, and other entities that work with small business owners are encouraged to submit nominations to recognize successful small business owners in their communities.

Nominations must be received by the Little Rock District Office by December 3. For information and a copy of the award categories and nomination guidelines, contact Andy LaMonica, Economic Development Specialist, at (501) 324-5871, ext. 239.
