Spanish HR Forms To Be Introduced At Workers' Comp Conference
by Timothy Lee, Associate Extension Specialist, UALR Lead Center

Of special interest to Arkansas employers at the 17th annual Arkansas Workers' Compensation Commission (AWCC) educational conference will be the introduction of Spanish versions of AWCC forms used by employees and employers.

By state law, employers must have a poster of instructions in the workplace to explain basic duties of employers and employees under workers' compensation laws. The AWCC will introduce Spanish translations of these posters at their conference, and the posters will be discussed in at least two of the sessions on Wednesday and Friday.

The AWCC is still accepting reservations for this event, scheduled Wednesday, October 13, through Friday, October 15, at the DoubleTree Hotel on Markham Street in downtown Little Rock. AWCC Special Events Coordinator Alice Jones can answer questions at 501-682-2692 or 800-622-4472.

Registration material and a complete program are available on the Internet at: http://www.awcc.state.ar.us
