Real Estate Professionals Make Likely Business Brokers
by Betsey Martin, Information Specialist, UALR Lead Center

A new resource, “Business Brokerage: An Opportunity for Real Estate Professionals,” is available at the Arkansas SBDC Research Center located in the Lead Center at UALR. This introductory manual, which is ideal for business buyers and sellers, is also a useful tool for real estate brokers, appraisers and consultants interested in becoming business brokers. The author, with over thirty year's of experience working in real estate, makes the case that real estate professionals make likely business brokers.

Highlights of the book include:

- Why businesses are for sale: The real reasons
- Listing and selling checklist
- The acquisition agreement
- Financing the deal
