Correction regarding NIH Contract Solicitation
by Mildred Holley, Technology Programs Manager

The first item in the September 13 Tech Track E-News, issued earlier today, included a notice about the amendments to the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and Centers for Disease Control (CDC) Contract Solicitation for research proposals.

The NIH/CDC contract solicitation is for proposals submitted under the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) program ONLY. It does not allow small business research proposals to be submitted under the rules of the Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) program as the earlier E-News stated. The deadline is November 5 for NIH/CDC SBIR contract proposals.

The NIH/CDC Grants Solicitation allows research proposals to be submitted using either the SBIR or STTR program. Grant proposals are due December 1.

We apologize for any confusion the earlier announcement may have created.
