Department of Labor Unveils New Website for Small Businesses
by Laura Fine, Assistant State Director

The U.S. Department of Labor just released a new website designed specifically for small businesses at www.dol.gov/elaws. The purpose of the site is to provide information to small businesses regarding which laws administered by the DOL apply to them.

The elaws Advisors are interactive tools that provide information about Federal employment laws. Each Advisor simulates an interaction between you and an employment law expert. It asks questions and provides answers based on your responses.

Users can also search or browse the site for information on such topics as the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Equal Employment Opportunit (EEO), and Minimum Wage and Overtime Pay.
