NOAA Invites SBIR Research Proposals

The Department of Commerce's National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration has released its 2004 Program Solicitation for the Small Business Innovation Research program. Proposals in paper form must be received at its office by the agency's closing date of noon EST on January 14, 2004.

NOAA expects to make about 15 Phase I contract awards of up to $75,000. Approximately one-third of current Phase I awardees are expected to receive Phase II awards to further their current research projects. The program solicitation describes 35 research topics of interest to NOAA. NOAA's topic categories are: atmospheric sciences, ocean observation systems, living marine resources, ocean science and cartography, photogrammetry, hydrography, and geodesy.
