Dilly Dally's
Susan & David Foster, Owners
Rogers, Arkansas

Susan Foster fell in love with her brothers's toy store while visiting him in Louisiana. After coming back home to Northwest Arkansas, Foster realized she wanted to open a specialty toy store of her own. Her hard work and planning became reality in August 2000 when Susan and David Foster opened Dilly Dally's in Village on the Creeks in Rogers.

Over the next two and a half years business steadily increased, and the Fosters seized an opportunity to expand their 1800 square foot location to 5600 square feet with 4200 square feet in retail floor space. The Fosters initially met with Lance Sexton, center director of the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville SBDC, in April 2003 to discuss restructuring their debt in order to improve cash flow and expand inventory. Sexton worked closely with the Fosters and First Western Bank of Rogers to prepare financial projections and put together the loan request with a SBA guaranty. First Western Bank in Rogers approved and funded a SBA guaranteed loan for Dilly Dally's in May 2003. Dilly Dally's is doing very well and enjoyed a busy holiday season.
